The Drug Crisis in Phoenix
Substance use and overdose deaths have been rising fast in Phoenix, AZ. Between 2019 and 2022, overdose deaths increased by 39%, with 1,023 lives lost in 2022 alone—more than half of all overdose deaths in Maricopa County. Methamphetamine use has become especially dangerous, showing up in one-third of Arizona’s heat-related deaths in 2023, a reminder of how addiction and extreme weather can be a deadly mix.

Specializing in CBT, DBT, and grief, Nate is now the Clinical Director of our Phoenix program, underlined by his passion for helping others who struggled with substance abuse issues as he did.

What's the average time clients spend in your alcohol and drug treatment?
The length of treatment varies, but most clients spend 3 to 5 months progressing through different levels of care. This typically includes residential treatment (2 weeks to 30 days), PHP (45-60 days), and IOP (4-8 weeks at different levels, including virtual options). Aftercare support can continue for up to a year for long-term success.
