Mercy Care AZ Insurance

Mercy Care is a not-for-profit health plan that offers comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services and is a proud part of AHCCCS (Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System), Arizona’s Medicaid agency.

Mercy Care plans are designed with a people-first approach, focusing on each individual’s unique needs. They include a wide range of healthcare services, from primary and preventive care to more specialized services. A crucial part of these services includes coverage for substance abuse treatment.

Recognizing the complexity of substance use disorders, Mercy Care provides coverage for a broad spectrum of treatments to offer a comprehensive approach to recovery. These services can vary based on the specific plan, but typically include inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs, detoxification services, counseling, therapy sessions, and medication-assisted treatment.

In accordance with the philosophy of AHCCCS, Mercy Care is committed to ensuring accessible, quality healthcare for its members. This includes a holistic approach to substance abuse treatment, with the aim of not just managing, but overcoming the challenges of addiction.
