The Unique Needs of Men in Residential Treatment
Men often face unique challenges when seeking help for substance abuse, with societal stigma sometimes making it even harder to reach out. Our men’s residential drug treatment program creates a caring, supportive space where men feel understood and safe. With trauma-informed care, we address experiences like abuse or combat with respect and empathy.
In our program, we offer integrated support for both addiction and mental health, with group therapy and peer connections that build a strong sense of community. By helping men develop confidence and healthy coping skills, we guide them in building a solid foundation for lasting recovery.
Our Treatment Therapies & Programs for Men
Partial Hospitalization
Our Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) for substance abuse deliver an all-encompassing and organized path to recovery. Running five days a week for six hours each day, our PHP offers intensive daytime treatment that encompasses therapy, group sessions, and holistic practices, all without the need for overnight accommodation. PHP fosters accountability and motivates participants to implement the strategies you’ve learned in everyday scenarios.

Our robust set of intensive and regular outpatient programs cover multiple situations and needs. Whether you need a 5-day-a-week program, or something less intensive, Cornerstone has you covered. We also offer a virtual program that allows you to get the care you need from the comfort of your home.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you recognize and change thought patterns that may be holding you back. By addressing these thoughts, CBT can improve your emotional well-being and help you develop healthier responses to life’s challenges. It’s a practical, goal-oriented approach that’s especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, and addiction.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) combines acceptance with positive change, helping you manage emotions, improve relationships, and approach life with more balance. DBT is especially supportive for people dealing with intense emotions or personality disorders, providing tools to navigate daily challenges with mindfulness and control.
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy offers a safe, private space to work through the issues contributing to addiction. In one-on-one sessions, you’ll explore your emotions, triggers, and past experiences, creating personalized strategies for recovery. This supportive approach plays an important role in building a solid foundation for long-term healing.

Tour Our Luxury Residential Drug Rehab
Does residential drug rehab work?
Residential drug rehab is a fundamental aspect of drug and alcohol treatment and is highly effective for individuals struggling with addiction.
According to findings in the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment, over 60% of individuals who engage in residential treatment for substance abuse and complete an inpatient drug and alcohol program report achieving and maintaining sobriety for one year or more.
This Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment also highlights the importance of choosing a dedicated alcohol and drug rehab program that offers a supportive and structured environment essential for overcoming addiction and fostering a sustainable recovery journey.
Is Cornerstone “men’s only?”
No. We also provide co-educational programs where male and female attendees are housed in separate accommodations during their stay.
How long is your men’s residential treatment?
That depends on your needs. Our men’s residential treatment program for substance abuse is tailored to address the specific needs of each individual, taking into account the nature, severity, and history of their addiction. If you want to learn more, please reach out!
What is the difference between residential and inpatient treatment?
Residential treatment and inpatient treatment both offer care for mental health or addiction issues, but they differ in setting and intensity.
Residential treatment occurs in a home-like environment and is suited for longer stays, focusing on therapy and community support. It also offers a more relaxed atmosphere for extended support, inpatient treatment involves close medical monitoring and is designed for quick and intense intervention.
Inpatient treatment, on the other hand, is provided in a more clinical, hospital-like setting for short-term, intensive care to stabilize acute conditions.
Will my insurance cover men’s residential treatment?
Most likely, yes. You will need to pay an initial deductible as specified by your insurance plan.
After meeting your deductible, your insurance benefits will contribute towards the cost, covering a significant portion of the services provided.
While some insurance plans may cover most treatment expenses, others necessitate a deductible that varies by policy. We encourage you to complete our commitment-free insurance verification form to learn more about your health insurance coverage.
Can I bring my cellphone?
Can I vape or smoke?
We understand that nicotine addiction is a common concern among our clients. While we encourage a holistic approach to recovery, we do permit smoking and vaping in designated outdoor areas to accommodate those who are not yet ready to quit nicotine. This policy allows clients to focus on their primary recovery goals while considering nicotine cessation at a pace that suits their individual journey.
What happens after my treatment is over?
After finishing our residential treatment program, you will continue the treatment process by stepping down to another level of care. This level of care could be partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, or virtual IOP. Don’t worry – we will take care of you every step of the way!
