What is an Insurance verification?
Verification is a way to check whether or not you have right type and level of coverage under their health care benefits package to meet your treatment needs. This involves finding out more about someone’s particular policy by looking into things like limitations on number days per year spent in certain care levels or frequency limits set out within certain categories. The aim here is twofold: first – making sure requested treatments/services are going to be paid for by your insurer & second – determining additional costs, if any, but not covered by the chosen plan. In other words, the service or treatment needs to be verified against what is covered in one’s insurance policy to avoid unexpected charges and have the necessary approval/authorization before the commencement of such care.
