3-Day IOP Therapies & Treatments

partial hospitalization therapy session

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps individuals recognize and modify negative thought patterns that can lead to negative behavior and emotions. The approach is based on the idea that changing negative thinking can lead to positive behavior and emotional regulation changes. CBT is a goal-oriented treatment that is commonly used to help people suffering from a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. It provides individuals with practical strategies to cope with challenging situations and improve their overall well-being.1

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive-behavioral therapy that emphasizes the psychosocial aspects of treatment. Its foundational principle is the synthesis of opposites. DBT aims to help individuals learn to manage their emotions, improve their relationships, and live more mindfully through acceptance and change strategies. This therapy is particularly effective for treating personality disorders such as borderline personality disorder and conditions involving significant emotional dysregulation.2

Individual addiction therapy involves confidential one-on-one sessions between a client and a therapist. The primary focus is on identifying and addressing the underlying issues and behaviors that contribute to substance use. During therapy, individuals can explore their emotions, triggers, and past experiences that have influenced their addiction. This personalized approach enables the development of customized coping and recovery strategies, making it an essential aspect of effective addiction treatment programs.3
