Who We Treat

virtual iop for men and women

Empowering Adults: Our programs are designed to provide adults with an effective treatment journey. We understand how complex life can be. Wether you’re single, in a relationship, married, or a parent, we can help you find balance. A huge focus of our curriculum is to teach you how to dig deep and heal the roots of addiction. Moving beyond addiction, we focus on self-actualization, rebuilding relationships, and finding balance. We help you build a life that you can be proud of.

Guiding Young Adults: The transition into adulthood brings a unique set of challenges and opportunities. Young adults face an ever changing world, a lot of uncertainty, and what’s more is that many young adults don’t know what they want or how to get what they want out of life. We focus on self-actualization for young adults, meaning that once the work is done to determine the root causes of addiction, we move on to helping young adults figure out what they want out of life and how to go about making it happen.

Bridging the Gap in Rural Arizona: We recognize the unique barriers faced by individuals in rural areas of Arizona when it comes to accessing comprehensive mental health and substance use treatment services. Our Virtual IOP is dedicated to bridging this gap by bringing essential care and support directly to you. We leverage technology to overcome the challenges of distance and isolation, ensuring that you have access to the same high-quality treatment as those in urban areas. Our team is committed to understanding the specific needs of rural communities and tailoring our approach to meet those needs. With Cornerstone, you no longer have to feel alone or unsupported in your journey towards healing and recovery.

Arizona Counties Areas We Serve

Maricopa County provides services to Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale, Mesa, and Chandler. We are dedicated to offering easily accessible support and treatment solutions for addiction, with a strong focus on community engagement. Our goal is to ensure that every individual in the county has access to the essential care they need.

Therapy in Our Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program

virtual iop individual therapy

Personalized Care: In these one-on-one video sessions, our clients can work closely with a therapist to address their past and their drug or alcohol use. This personalized approach can provide self-awareness and understanding. Our therapists then work to build a recovery path that works for your specific history, personality, and diagnosis.

Confidentiality: A big concern for many who decide to go into treatment is how the outside world will view them. While group therapy is an essential part of the recovery process, there are some things that we know our clients aren’t comfortable speaking about in a group setting. Individual therapy gives you the chance to discuss these things knowing that you’re safe to do so, and you will have a dedicated therapist who’s got your back.

online group therapy meetings for addiction

Community and Connection: Group therapy sessions are a cornerstone of our VIOP, designed to foster community and shared experience among participants. These sessions allow individuals to connect with others navigating similar paths, offering mutual support and understanding

Diverse Perspectives: Group therapy exposes various perspectives and experiences, enriching the therapeutic process. This diversity encourages empathy, broadens understanding, and helps participants learn new coping methods from their peers.

virtual family therapy

Strengthening Support Systems: Addiction is a family disease and even though one person suffers from the disease, it creates a ripple effect that touches even beyond immediate family. Family therapy is an essential tool in the recovery process because the aim is for family member’s to address how they’ve been impacted by a loved one’s substance abuse. Another huge focus is for family and loved ones to get an understanding of addiction as a disease, how to let go of resentment, how to hold boundaries, and how to offer healthy support. These sessions help repair and strengthen relationships, improve communication skills, and build a solid support system critical for long-term recovery.

Holistic Healing: By addressing the impact of addiction on the family and facilitating healing within these relationships, family therapy supports the holistic recovery of the participant, ensuring that the family unit moves forward together on a path of healing and understanding.

What clients and treatment professionals say about Cornerstone's programs

This facility is different from any other rehab that I have been to. I have had many failed attempts at getting and staying sober since I was 16. Mostly due to a majority of the treatment centers that I had went to not having much help with aftercare. They would get you clean for however long the stay was and then release you with no tools or foundation to build on. Cornerstone immersed me in the 12 step recovery program. The PHP groups were extremely therapeutic for me.
Cornerstone Alumni
I watched my loved one struggle with an addiction to alcohol for over fifteen years. In 2022 he was at the worse I had ever seen. I suggested a multitude of things to quit, however, I knew that he needed help and was convinced that this was not going to end well. I had seen the program of recovery outlined at Cornerstone and convinced my loved one to make the 1,800-mile drive across the country. It saved his life. I hardly recognize this man today. From hustling me to pay for "just one more night" at a hotel, to having his own apartment in a year is a miracle.
Alumni Family
This place saved my life 100%. the whole staff genuinely cared about me and were only trying to help me grow. i have confidence again and goals to achieve. coming from someone who was very suicidal and a bad alcoholic before treatment, i’ve completely done a 180°. i loved my house managers lacey and jazz who were both extremely important to my recovery. my primary therapist Lori was such a sweetheart and i could tell she genuinely cared about my life and wanted to help in any way she could. i feel like i’ve finally found my place in this world and most importantly myself and that’s all thanks to God and Cornerstone.
